TikTok Like A Champ

Through the pandemic of 2020, social media was never forgotten. In fact, TikTok, one of the minor league platforms of the social media umbrella, has exploded into popularity. People all over the world are showing off their skills, talents, and humors, reaching all kinds of people from all over the globe. Whether you are currently making videos, or are thinking about starting, below is some crucial information that you should know!

FYP: The “For You" page is key. In order for you to gain more views, likes, and followers, you want to end up on your target market’s “For You" page. As a user likes, comments, and otherwise engages with content on the platform, the “For You” page is customized to show them content that it believes is in the same genre or vein.

Hashtags: One of the ways to be sure to get on "For You" Pages, is to be sure you are using appropriate hashtags that properly label your content. The more viewers like a video that has the same hashtags, TikTok says, ‘Oh, you like puppies? Let me show you these ones too.” And Boom! New viewer. Use hashtags that are connected to the content that you are making, but not ones that are 100 characters long - exaggeration of course, but use #SocialMediaMarketing instead of #SocialMediaMarketingIsForTheBirds.

Trends & Challenges: Be sure you are participating in the popular trends as well as any challenges going around. Use the proper hashtags and be part of the cycle and catch your new viewer’s attention. That includes duets!! Interact with the other creators! Their followers can become your followers and vice versa. As you see trends pop up in your feed, try and find a way to be creative and adapt these trends to you, your brand, or your business.

And always remember to keep your vides short and sweet - you can shoot up to a minute, but the videos that stay between 15-30 seconds preform the best! Keep the content engaging and entertaining and post as often as you can. Be consistent and remember to be yourself.

Get creating!
