Support Small Business For Free

It has come that time again where thanksgiving is just around the corner! It’s the time that we share with our family and friends what we are most thankful for in our lives. Typically, what we share are things we are thankful for on a personal level. We could be thankful for our health, our families, the roofs over our head. However, several of us are thankful for much more.

Think of your friends and family who own and run their own businesses. Think about the blood, sweat, and tears they put into running a successful business and providing for themselves and their families. It can be assured that any support from those they love most would be greatly appreciated.

So how can you support those businesses without spending $1?

Social media support! I mean it! One of the most successful ways for small businesses to reach out to new clients/customers is through their social media pages. There are things you can do to help them, and here are 5 ways how.

Likes

In the social media world, the more likes the better, and I don’t just mean the page itself. Likes per post is also greatly beneficial for the content provided on the page. It provides a chain reaction for your friends to see what you have liked, and maybe they would like it too.

Comment

Be vocal (virtually so) about your thoughts. Engaging in content and showing interest is a huge boost to the content that is posted. This kind of engagement can spark interest in others to see out information regarding what is offered.

Share

What’s better than a like? A share! If you like something, or think the content on someone’s page is cool or interesting, share it! You can even share by tagging others in the comments of the posts! Sharing is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to expand marketing practices. You are helping out simply by providing the information to someone who may want or need it. It’s that simple.

Recommend

Whether it is a service provided or a handmade item, recommendations are super helpful when it comes to helping out a business. If you are satisfied with the results you received, then tell others about it! Hearing about how you were happy gives way more validation and security that they also will be happy with the products or services of the business.

Review

This may be the last on my list, but it is certainly not the least. Reviews provide a huge impact on any business big or small. It is the customer’s opportunity to provide insight on the customer service they experience as well as the quality of the product (or service) they purchased. Other customers want to know how satisfied you are with what you purchased! So leave a shining review for your friend (or family member) with their small business and help them gain credibility in their marketing!

It may seem like small favors but in reality, these small favors make huge impacts on the engagement for those small businesses. So, if it doesn’t cost a dollar, why not spend the minute or two that it would take to help out? I can promise you that those business owners would be more than thankful for each and every interaction.
