PARC Story - Meet Victory

One way that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can experience a deep, abiding sense of acceptance is through connection with service animals.

Meet Victory, a diligent service dog here at PARC provided through New Horizons Service Dogs. Victory provides assistance with mobility issues/counter balance, picking up various items when on the floor or table, bracing individuals when bent down, and he is trained to get a person or phone in case of emergency. He knows over 80 commands, some in ASL (American Sign Language), and can “make friends” around PARC as he pleases. Around PARC, he brings a smile to everyone’s faces. Victory LOVES coming into work and seeing his friends and co-workers. He also loves tennis balls, petting & brushing his fur, and homemade treats (with cheese and peanut butter)!
