Outbound Interaction

What Is Outbound Interaction?

It can be easy to forget that social media is a conversation that goes both ways. While engaging with comments on your posts is important, you shouldn’t neglect engaging with the broader social media sphere. The best way to do this is by seeking new ways to connect with people online through what we call outbound interaction. In this article, we’ll look at a few ways you can implement outbound interaction into your social media marketing plan.

Find Locations near You and Engage with People That Have Checked into Those Locations

While this may sound a little stalkerish, here us out on this one. There may be people visiting or living in your area that may not realize that your business exists. Engaging with people near your location gives you a chance to get your brand in front of potential customers.

Follow Hashtags Related to Your Business, Location, or Industry

Hashtags are not just a sorting tool, but also a way for you to find conversations to engage in within your business, industry, etc. If people see you consistently pop into conversations on certain tags, that translates into brand recognition. What’s more, it will also help you stay up to date on what other businesses in your industry are up to.

Be Genuine and Consistent

If you’re only making the rounds on social media every few months, chances are most people won’t remember your brand. Be consistent, and above all, remember to be authentic. Be a person, be genuine! We guarantee people will appreciate it.

Ultimately, if you want to create more success with your social media engagement, you must connect with others outside your own posts. If you don’t feel like you have the time to engage in outbound interaction yourself, contact My Social Lady about our social media management services.
