Facebook Group Engagement Tips
Sometimes having an online community, especially on Facebook Groups, can be difficult to maintain engagement of the members involved in the group. It’s easy to not be involved, and ignore posts when our active lives are going on around us. Social media activity can easily slip away when engagement is low. So how can you keep your members as active as possible?
1. Live interaction: Keeping up on a daily, or every other day basis can really boost interaction. People don’t want to miss out.
2. Accountability: Keep your members accountable. Have you set goals for your group? Have them post about their success to help encourage and inspire others.
3. Information: Keep your content informational. Know your audience and what the members of your group needs to know and deliver.
4. Services offered: Are you doing any tutorials? Active instructions, especially in video form is best. Be a reliable source for your members to reference back to.
5. Active Posting: Who engages in a stale Facebook group? Post often! Keep the sweet, simple, and consistent.
6. Be Available: People are going to have questions. Be available and active in answering questions, and encourage your members to ask. There are no stupid questions, other than the ones that aren’t asked.
7. Closed vs. Open Groups: What would best serve your group? Is it a closed group with those who have similar interests and communicate daily? Or is it a group that hundreds, to thousands of people can benefit from?
Keep your page active as possible and keep the content coming. Allow your members to participate and enjoy being part of the community that you have created.
