PARC Story - Meet EvaNorah

PARC’s Discovery Learning Center (DLC) provides children with developmentally appropriate early intervention activities that enhance their development, foster independence and give support to the family.

Meet EvaNorah, a recent graduate from PARC’s Discovery Learning Center who had been attending since she was 10 months old. Once enrolled, EvaNorah began on-site therapy programs that included speech, occupational and physical therapy which were individualized based on her developmental needs. Over the years, she showed great improvement with her behaviors and excelled tremendously in school. Just before her VPK graduation, PARC received a letter from EvaNorah’s grandmother who expressed her appreciation for PARC’s Children’s Services:

Dear PARC:

My name is Teresa Brethen and I am the grandmother and guardian of EvaNorah and her brother. I was first introduced to the Discovery Learning Center in 2013 by my Support Coordinator through the Juvenile Welfare Board who told me how great of a school she felt it was. Since then, five of my ten grandchildren have attended PARC’s Discovery Learning Center, and with their kind and understanding staff, they all have showed great improvement with their behaviors and are excelling in school. EvaNorah has attended since she was 10 months old and could not even sit or stand. She started physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy and has improved tremendously and will soon be moving on to Kindergarten. I can’t say enough about how great everyone has been to me, my grandkids and their parents. PARC’s Discovery Learning Center gave my family and I hope for the future and I am so grateful that they all had the opportunity to attend.
Sincerely, Teresa Brethen
